Xu Jia, Jason (Oriel, 2003 - 2006)
Upon completion of my studies at Oxford, I came
to Hong Kong to read for a Postgraduate Certificate in Law at City
University of Hong Kong and I am currently working as a trainee
solicitor at the Hong Kong office of Freshfields, a leading international
law firm. Looking back to my path so far, I would like to express
my gratitude to The David and Jayne Paterson Educational Trust and,
in particular, Mr. and Mrs. Paterson for the once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to study law at Oxford. I still remember those words
I wrote down before leaving for Oxford. As Henry Miller said - all
growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without
the benefit of experience. However, with belief and hope, I would
like to say growth is wonderful.
